in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Strasbourg, it states that Richard Wagner was in Strasbourg, but gives no indication why Wagner was there nor why it should be important enough to be the main event in Strasbourg that year. I have searched in vain for more information. Can anyone help me with this? Especially if it can be linked with 1849 revolutionary activities in 1849.
